Tattoo Tea Party & Tea Cup Stool
This weekend saw the first Tattoo Tea Party at Event City in Manchester.
"Come take tattoos and tea with us!"
"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
As part of the Tattoo Tea Party - Tattoo Convention - Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School was present to give a taster of their events, and a floral Tea Cup Stool was used as one of Alice's props.
Dr Sketchy's explained, from the Facebook events page - 'A unique interactive art based event open to all, a chance for all those ‘I can’t draw-ers’, the ‘not surers’ and ‘cult explorers’ let Alice & The Red Queen pose for your pencils! Dr. Sketchy’s Anti-Art School North Wales & Chester has been likened to what a Life Drawing class would be like if they held them at the Moulin Rouge! Drawing (quite literally) inspiration from burlesque performers, the playground of the fun, colour, weird and wonderful costumes. Dr Sketchy's produces an art class that celebrates all styles, mediums and approaches to drawing. Encouraging folks of all skill levels to the very best in sketching fun when engaging the right side of your brain. It's sketching… made sexy!'
I even had a go myself - here's some sketches from yesterday...
